A rose by an other name or perhaps the vineyard on the label does not change the bouquet of the wine.
The Tuttle family seems to be making inroads on getting a handle on the lawlessness on the island. Their young sea captain showed true stewardship in his actions to protect not only the vineyard, but also in helping the farmer recover after bandits torched his home. We were well treated by the Redwynes and many mourned the loss of their patronage, but as time passes the Tuttles are slowly winning over those who feared that they would be callous in their dealing with the island.
I fear that some of the lingering issues are not honestly kept. After hearing from Lord Tuttle’s own brother that he was actively working to bring strife between the Redwynes & Tuttles, I found it hard to view the younger Tuttle as an injured patient. His callous use of the people on Shell Island in order to bring vengeance upon his brother speaks of a petty man.
There is always much to be done. The burnt cottage will soon be finished and then the garden will need to be replaced. If the Tuttles continue their support, the family will make a rapid recovery. I’m doing my best to help replace some of the smaller touches that were reduced to ash.
